Private Lesson Rates

Alpine Meadows offers private ski, snowboard and telemark lessons taught by some of North Lake Tahoe's best instructors.  Private lessons provide the most flexibility and the best learning environment for any skier or rider who wish to focus on specific goals, build technique and have fun on the slopes! Private lessons can be one-on-one or you can book an instructor to teach you and your friends and family.  Don't forget the added perks: ski school priority lift lines and optional video footage!

Private lessons at Alpine Meadows include instruction for up to 5 people. Gather your friends or family for a half-day or a full-day customized experience where you can work on your skills, explore appropriate terrain, and leave with greater confidence and a smile on your face.

Afternoon private lessons must be booked before 12pm. Walk-in private lessons in the afternoon based on availability.
*Cancellation Policy - Lessons must be cancelled by 1:00pm the day prior to the lesson start time.  Lessons cancelled after 1pm the day prior will incur a $50 cancellation fee.  No show, or lessons cancelled the morning of, are subject to the full charge of the lesson.
**Not valid during holiday periods including Dec. 26-31, 2011, Jan. 14-16, 2012, Feb. 18-25, 2012.

Getting ready for your lesson

  • Please check-in, ready to go, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your lesson.

  • Private lessons do not include lift tickets or equipment rentals. Please consider the time it may take for the rental process and arrive at least one hour prior to lesson start time.

  • To get the most out of your lesson, be sure all participants are of the same discipline and a similar ability. The instructor must teach to the lowest level.

  • If you are planning on booking a particular instructor, booking one month in advance is the best way to ensure your instructor's availability.
